Check Inn HK is a new hostel here on Hostelworld, having opened at the start of 2012. They’re already getting great reviews from our guests, who say it’s ‘run by people who genuinely care about what they do here’ and has free water, free local calls, free Wi-Fi and comfy beds. It’s located on Hong Kong Island near Wan Chai subway station, Hung Shing Temple, Pak Tai Temple, shopping centres, Central Plaza and more. We like their clean, colourful decor.

Our family-run hostel aims to provide you the best hostel experience. Our friendly and well-trained staff are always ready to give you information about Hong Kong and China.
We also provide a number of free services for our guests, such as irons, Wi-Fi, computers, hair dryers and adapters.
This is also a place for people who like to make new friends. As the hostel is a small one, guests find it easy to chat with each other in the cosy lounge area. Our staff regularly organize dim sum gatherings and hiking activities for guests who have a taste for activities other than shopping and drinking.

I enjoyed my stay and I'd stay again. As a solo traveller, I was able to meet friendly people to sightsee, eat, and party with which is my main priority. There were lots of pepeople staying for other reasons though, so the vibes were mixed. The bed was comfy, had a towel rail, and I had my own plug. There was a constant supply of drinking water available but it'd be great if they kept ice cube trays in the freezers!

Generally pretty good, however some facilities are clearly old. Bathroom door seems old an janky and not as clean as it should be. Furthermore there are no curtains or lights, which means little privacy.

You will NOT find better in Hong Kong at this price!
Location is about the best you will find (with a lovely view of one of the main streets on Hong Kong Island).
The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful (and spoke quite good English).
My dormitory had four beds and a private toilet, shower, and sink, but the larger community bathrooms were available, too.
Alas, no free breakfast, but there was a refrigerator and sink in the community area for those who want to prepare (not cook) a light mea

I think what our guests really appreciate is that this is a family-run hostel. We treat our guests like friends and that's why we have such a high rating in terms of friendliness. We're always happy to go the extra mile to solve problems for our guests and we don't put a price tag on everything. Plus, our teams knows Hong Kong very well and can offer any kind of help to our guests.
I'd say that our hostel is perfect for travellers who love making friends as well as for people who come to HK for a Chinese Visa. The Chinese Visa Office is a stone's throw away and we're also close to Causeway Bay. I recommend that people definitely check out Lan Kwai Fong and the Soho area.
