The Jumbo Stay STF/IYHF lives up to its name – it’s in a renovated jumbo jet set near the airport. Many of our guests say this hostel is ‘perfect for early flights or late arrivals’, with breakfast served from 3am and shuttle buses running to the airport 24 hours a day. Hostelworld users call the staff ‘amazingly friendly’ as well as ‘helpful, engaging and warm’. Although this hostel isn’t centrally located for Stockholm city, it’s one of the closest hostels to the airport and is ideal if you want to sleep in a little later before an early flight. We particularly like the quirky cockpit suite.

Jumbo Stay and Jumbo Bar & Restaurant is only a 6 minute ride with the free shuttle bus from the terminals at Arlanda airport. Perfect for anyone catching an early flight and does not want to get out of bed before dawn to make it to the airport in time. Now you can easily book a night at Jumbo Stay prior to your departure for an extraordinary experience before beginning of your trip - as well as relaxation.
Jumbo Stay offers 29 comfortable rooms with single, two and three bed private rooms or two and four bed dormitories.
All together, the hostel offers 61 beds; the most luxurious is to be found on the planes upper deck which boasts an exclusive Cockpit suite with private shower and toilet. The rooms are approximately six square meters in size and measure nearly four meters from floor to ceiling.
Each room has a flat screen TV. Everywhere in the jumbo jet you have access to wireless broadband. Jumbo Stay is also equipped and fitted with five modern bathroom and toilet facilities on the main deck, which are also accessible for handicapped guests.
Jumbo Stay is open and staffed 24 hrs around the clock by one of the Jumbo crew members, to make it convenient for guests leaving and arriving at different times. We also sell food, light snacks and beverages at our Jumbo Bar & Restaurant. For those who have brought their own food we have two microwave ovens available for your convenience. Breakfast is served from three o'clock in the morning.

Its a great place to stay if you are using the airport and such an unique experience! The rooms were nice size and the beds were comfortable. I would say the hotel could be cleaner and is in need of some updates, as it seems a little run down. That being said I had a nice stay and would recommend staying here for the experience alone!

The lift was broken so we had to carry 3 suitcases up the stairs. There was no staff on service during hours they advertise. The showers were not clean, and the air filters/fans were full of dust. The breakfast consisted of bread, and poor quality coffee. Would expect much, much better from a place that charges as much as they do. Worth about half the amount purely, and I repeat, only, for the "experience". Everything else was disappointing.

Ameer was there to check me in and was SO kind and welcoming. After I settled in, he took me on a tour around the whole plane, which was really fun. The private room I booked was great. Quiet, clean, comfortable. I had to catch a 6:00am flight and really appreciated the self-serve breakfast to start off the long day. Plus, that free airport shuttle is very convenient and easy. Will book again.

Jumbo Stay STF/IYHF says
We offer some great extras to guests, like wingwalks and guided tours of the cockpit (if available). In fact, we're right at Stockholm Arlanda International Airport - we're the world's only hostel inside a a jumbo jet airplane, a real Boeing 747.
I'd say what guests like most about our property is our close location to the airport - only two minutes away from the terminals. For fun around here we like to watch movies and go plane-spotting.
We have disabled facilities, with a lift and rooms prepared for wheelchairs.
