Seconds Hostel has stood the test of time in the past 8 years, taking on the role to provide a home away from home for travelers from all walks of life and forge indelible friendships. Here's how the story of love began:

In 2015, a Sri Lankan boy started renting one bed at a time while working in a bank. With the determination to bring the world to his doorsteps, he quit the job and reinvested every penny into upgrading the castle.

When the Corona Monster invaded the country in 2020, many were so frightened that they turned foreigners away; greed drove some businesses
to jack up the prices for the stranded tourists. The boy stunned the world by doing the exact opposite - he lowered the prices to cover the basic cost
and even lent money to the foreigners who were stuck in his country involuntarily. He toiled 20 hours a day to ensure the safety and comfort
of 26 people during the three-month intense lockdown. His good deed eventually rewarded him nothing more precious than the encounter
with the love of his life on the historic Ella-Kandy train.

Little did he know, had she ( a world-record long distance skater in the US) reached the station seconds early or seconds late, they never would have met. Together, they rebranded and further developed the hostel with the goal to make every guest feel at home.

Cancellation policy: 1 day before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
Check in from 13:00 to 23:00.
Check out before 12:00 noon.
Payment upon arrival by cash.
Taxes included.
Breakfast not included.
No curfew.
