Featuring a bar and Bali huts adjoining a large semi-shaded pool, great Sundeck, a huge kitchen indoor-outdoor kitchen and dining area, the Youth Shack has everything required to make your stay comfortable while in Darwin. Get your tan on atop the first floor rooftop sundeck after a day out adventuring or night out partying. Soak in the pool, relax on the sunbeds and catch up on that book you've been meaning to read or just have a few cool drinks in the bar making new friends or hanging out with old ones.
Breakfast included between 6.30 and 8.30am.
Our staff are available to assist with tour and employment inquiries, and make you feel at home.

This hostel hasn’t got enough kitchen and living/dining space to accommodate so many guests. Cooking in peak hours is a challenge and due to all the people it doesn’t stay clean for long. Music is shut down at 10pm however and I slept well. Staff aren’t very present or informative and don’t stop people screaming outside reception during the night. I’d return but only because it’s the best budget option in Darwin.

The bedrooms were quite small with no lockers so everyone’s stuff was on the floor in the way all the time. Bathrooms were decent. Atmosphere there was really good. I like a good nights sleep so enjoyed that they had music playing round the pool for a nice vibe until 10pm ish when it went off and you could actually sleep. Could’ve done with better plug sockets for the top bunks and a bigger kitchen because you were falling over people.

Good hostel in the centre of Darwin. It’s a party hostel so can get a little loud and messy, but generally had a good time there.
