Hostel Smolej is a newly renovated property is set in the residential/hostel district of Bled and is in a superb location. It is beside the cliff top castle and only metres away from the lake, St Martins church and the local grocery shop. It is close to the bus station and all the local bars and restaurants. It comprises 3 bedrooms, two kitchens and a luxury shower room.
There are two 3 bed dorms and one four bed dorm with a total capacity for 10 guests. The family run business will offer a true insight into Slovene culture and we know where to locate the most interesting of places depending on your requirements.

It was an absolutely lovely stay. The manager is lovely, property is clean and was a lovely homely atmosphere. 5 minutes to the lake and close to food/bars/supermarket so cannot complain

- Had to pay in cash only when checking in.
- Location was great. Easily walkable from the bus stop.
- Beds were basic but adequate.
- No towel provided for shower.
- The room was quite small, with no baggage storage. Just a small locker for locking up a small bag or individual items. Felt more like an AirBnb stay than a hostel.
- Able to leave my bag there after checking out the next day. 👍🏼
- Hosts were very kind and friendly.
I would stay here again.
