Centabay Lodge offers budget accommodation right in the centre of Paihia. Choose from a bed in one of the spacious dormitory rooms or stay in a private room to suit your budget.
Free WiFi, a fully equipped shared kitchen, communal lounge and garden area with BBQ facilities and a hot tub are all included. We also have laundry facilities should guests wish to use them. Free limited on-site parking is also available. Guests can play table tennis and darts in the hostel games room (during low season) or ask the tour desk about nearby activities such as kayaking, cycling and hiking.

Centabay lodge was the perfect place to stay for our short trip to Paihia! Jack was very helpful with showing us around the property and giving us recommendations on what to do in town and in the bay. My boyfriend and I stayed in one of their private rooms. We had our own private bathroom and even a mini fridge. The place was very clean and the room was very spacious. It’s also in a prime location not even five minutes walking distance to various shops, restaurants, and the waterfront.

I had a great 4 day stay in January 2023. The staff were great, bed comfy and people really friendly and easy to hang out with. Location is perfect although a little noisy in the room by the communal areas. The facilities are a little cramped and run down - eg not enough showers, things missing in the kitchen, nowhere to secure items in the room. I’d definitely recommend Centabay Lodge as a place to stay for solo backpackers looking to meet other people and enjoy the Bay of Islands!

Staff were super friendly, room was cozy, there is a hot tub and nice outside area, they have 2 kitchens one which is open 24 hours.
