Welcome to Bodhi Hostel, where everything is designed with passion and nature in mind. Most of the furniture and decorations are handmade with recycled products or renewable resources. Through traveling, we hope for you to learn more about our world, about yourself, about people and cultures. Bodhi Hostel is named after the very tree under which Buddha achieved enlightenment. In creating an open and sociable atmosphere, we want you to make new friends, and leave feeling a little enlightened yourself.
We offer free breakfast, high speed internet WiFi, lockers, bikes for rent, communal kitchen, bbq area and bar with affordable beer.
Every bed in our place has a comfortable semi-therapeutic mattress (the same ones used in hospitals), pillow, hotel quality linen, towel, electric plug, individual lamps, fan, and curtains.
Our mission is to provide you with the best experience possible, whether you need a local guide or directions to get to the main attractions, we will do everything in our means to satisfy your needs.

Music is too loud. Receptionists speak so soft they're difficult to hear even without music. I asked them to turn it down at check-in, but they turned it down maybe 1 decibel & still spoke too quiet. I could hear them if I strained my ears, but I shouldn't have to! They have a dog that naps INSIDE the dorm & staff acts like that's okay. Do not stay here if you have pet allergies! Showers are only a curtain so everything gets soaked. AC is shut off by 4am, so you wake up sweaty.

Can't say anything bad about the hostel. I enjoyed my stay so much that I extended my stay. It's a great place to meet new people to go on hikes with or just for a chat. The facilities are great too and the complimentary breakfast is nice and varied! Enough places to chill after a hike as well, overall perfect place to stay in El Valle
