Site 61 Hostel

Site 61 Hostel offers a quirky, but homey, setting for meeting other travelersl. There are a mix of private rooms and dorm rooms. The emphasis is on cleanliness and sustainability, while remaining budget-friendly. At Site 61 you will find a friendly staff, free Wifi, cameras that monitor the public areas, complimentary coffee and tea, and continental breakfast on weekends.

.The buildingl was built about 1912 as a family residence and a nine-room / one bath rooming house. It is located on Hwy 61, which was the main highway into New Orleans, before the Interstate highway system. The building was designated Historic in 2014. Then it was redesigned and renovated, to add modern conveniences, such as air conditioning and more bathrooms, while preserving many early-20th century features. There are great restaurants nearby, free street parking, and convenient public transportation.

We require a minimum booking of 2 nights.

Cancellation may be made 2 full days before arrival, without charge. Cancellation made less than 2 full days before arrival will be charged the first night's rate plus taxes. .

A deposit equal to the first night's rate plus taxes will be charged soon after the reservation is made.

In-person check-in hours are 16:00 to 18:00.
Late Check-in is available by prior arrangement.
Check out by 11:00AM

No curfew/ 24 hour access to the hostel with keys/key codes. Quiet hours are observed from 11PM weekdays/ 12AM weekends until 7 AM.

Guests must have a valid foreign passport, out-of-state ID, or a Louisiana ID at least 35 miles from New Orleans.
