The common shower for men are too small that I decided to upgrade my accommodation to a room with ensuite washroom so I can properly take a bath. The first floor rooms where I slept in the frist 2 nights are quite noisy due to the Disco Club down below but fortunately I used ear muffs to have a good night sleep.

It is OKAY. I think if I was younger, and in Vancouver strictly for a day or two and looking for parties it would be fine. Very loud as the Cambie bar is underneath the hostel, loud music until 2am. The building is old, and definitely has that historic charm, but also comes with that musty smell. The beds were comfortable and clean, warm blankets. The bathrooms are small and squishy especially when trying to navigate a shower. They could really use a change room. Good location!

Location is good. Price is little bit pricy but here is Vancouver so understandable. Except that, during the night time bar under the hostel make a big noise. If you're deeep sleeper, then it will be okay but if not, you cannot get a good sleep
