Location! IHSP Santa Barbara has two locations in Santa Barbara, This Hostel is centrally located, just 4 blocks from the beach, within walking distance to the famous 'state street' . At this location we offer a more 'backpacker' type atmosphere offering Dorms Rooms with Shared ensuite or private ensuite. Our other location offers a more private, Family Friendly, private rooms.

Please note. Dorm beds are only allowed occupancy by current registered students or international travelers. You must provide a valid and current student ID or non US passport at check in or a key card can not be issued.
All other guest that do not have current student ID , may book a private room.
All guests must be 18 or older to stay on the premises

Cancellation policy: 48h before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
Check in from 13:00 to 23:00 .
Taxes not included - 12.00% Transient Occupant Tax plus an additional bed tax
Breakfast included: all you can eat, make your own pancakes.
No curfew.

The hostel was shut down!! Doesn’t exists anymore! Tried To call them in the phone informed on the website but it was a dead line. I wonder how come the website didn’t inform me.
Want refund for the my booking.

Went to that hostel because they have parking, then when I arrived I couldn't let my car in because it was full. Also I reserved a bedroom with 6 bads, they put me in a 11 people room. The upstairs bathroom i couldn't use because of dirtness and like 3cm water in the floor. Workers not patients. really didnt like my stay in the hostel, but Santa barbara Awesome!

Do NOT leave your luggage in their locked shed if you arrive early/want to leave later - ants all over our luggage! Ants also found in the bathroom and room! Don’t seem to clean the duvet only the pillow cases and bed cover! ‘All you can eat pancakes’ are just a premade mix and a griddle. Very small. Not many bathrooms. Credit card charge we weren’t told about until after paying. SO overpriced - recommend paying more and staying in the wayfarer which we walked past and looked SO much nicer!
