I stayed in a private room here for one night. The location is sooo central. The bedding and room were clean, the staff were friendly and I was able to store my bag at reception after checkout. The private room I stayed in was super small and had no window, like sleeping in a broom closet. There was only one socket so you had to make a decision between either using the fan they provided, or charging your electronics.
The noise levels were really bad, paper thin walls, I was up all night.

PROS: Fantastic location, just a few minutes from Plaza Mayor and right in front of the Mercado de San Miguel. Wi-Fi was good. Bathrooms and showers clean.
CONS: Very tiny room with no air-con and no windows, and just an old electric fan. Very hot at night.

Fantastic location in the very centre of Madrid, can't really be beaten on price for the location. Shared bathroom facilities are adequate, staff are helpful. However, the front door and internal doors are constantly left open - handy, but a slight security concern. Also, I unfortunately spotted a cockroach in my room on the day I was leaving (glad I didn't notice that beforehand as it would have really ruined my stay).
