At the door of a magical island that will make you experience nature, traditions and unique mythology roothed in the depths of this southern land, is 13 Lunas Hostel, located in a traditional chilota house built in 1947 and blending the rustic and modern.
A warm place where you always find a smilie and you'll have all the facilities that the free traveller requires, making you feel at home.
Located opposite the bus station Southern Cross, a few blocks from the main square, bars, the city museum and the museum of Chiloe igresias, a 10 minute walk is the market where you find seafood and Ancud fish, vegetables and handicrafts.

It's an ok hostel, usually people stay only for one night, as it provides a gateway to the island of Chiloé. Staff is supportive and friendly, somewhat more cleanliness would be necessary in the showers cabins.

A beautiful hostel in front of the bus station, sea view on the back.
Comfortable and clean (the best mattress so far), staff very helpful and nice.
Lovely and warm kitchen, a great value for the money.
Highly recommended!

13 Lunas Hostal in Ancud is perfectly situated in front of the bus terminal Cruz del Sur and close to the waterfront. It is in a beautifully restored house with ample common space and a terrific kitchen with everything you could want. We stayed in a double bed room with a private bathroom. The terrace views to the water are fantastic. The owner was super helpful during our stay with travel advice for Chiloe' and speaks fluent English. I highly recommend this place for staying in Ancud.
