Hotel Policy:
Check-in begins at 4:00 pm. Check-out is required by 11:00 am. All registered hotel guests must present a valid, state-issued, Photo ID or Passport.
A major credit card is required at check-in for a $150 deposit for incidentals (cash is not accepted for incidentals).
Taxes of 14.95% are not included in the rates shown
A 3.25% credit card fee accounts for the processing fees for the credit card per transaction. The hotel does not keep any service fees.
The guest whose name is on the reservation must be at least 21 years of age and must be the one checking in upon arrival.
The Baron Hotel is a smoke-free and pet-free hotel. Any evidence of smoking or pets in the suite will incur a $300 excessive clean-up fee.
Our property only has non-smoking rooms. We guide our guests to the nearest smoking area if needed.
Guarantee Policy:

I've stayed at the Hotel Baron before the pandemic, so I'm a repeat guest. It is not a fancy place. It is not brand, spanking new. But it is clean and safe and the staff is low-key, competent and hospitable. My one complaint was that the wifi reception in my room, even when trying multiple networks provided by the hotel, was pretty lousy. Like, never above two bars. But that's it. I'll nevertheless likely stay there again for all the other reasons.

We arrived at 2:15pm and and knew that check in is at 1pm when we did the reservation. We told the front desk and he refused. We waited 45 min outside.
No elevator .
The heating was poorly - noisy and not heating.
Small room and bed.

Very nice place to stay at near Dupont Circle. Much less expensive than other locations in the area. It was a very basic place to stay. The floor layouts were reminiscent of a family home that had been carved up to make separate hotel rooms. What was totaling lacking was a listing of the available TV channels.
