We may not have met yet, but we can’t wait to do so and smile and laugh and sing and talk about different stories and write new ones in the snow and sun, and above all, have some fun. We don’t know everything about you, but we do know that simply by the fact you have chosen to visit us, you are curious; you want to see and feel more than you have seen and felt before, and because of that, we are excited to drift away together, somewhere, forever.

Like some kind of art deco instagram influencer love child. Undeniably amazing hostel in terms of its cleanliness, aesthetic and practicality. It was almost too nice I didn’t know how to act. The pods in the shared rooms are perfect, comfortable and private and very quiet. There’s fancy stuff everywhere, but an ironic lack of good pots and pans to use in the kitchen that was far too small (this being the only flaw really), although the communal spices and oils were a lovely touch.

I cannot fault Drifter one bit! It was the best hostel I’ve stayed in, in all of NZ over the last 4 months of travelling both islands. I loved the classic-meets-modern vibe of the whole hostel, the rooms are cleaned every single day, there are free events everyday, the cinema room is brilliant, the free yoga classes were great, the kitchen and communal areas were also just amazing. Super lovely staff, very safe for solo female travellers too! Will definitely be backðŸ˜â¤ï¸
