We booked this hostel for dia de muertos (last available choice 2 months prior). We paid 55€ pperson/night (expensive in absolute).
One room didnt have working electrical outlets, the towels didnt absorb water but just left lints on us and the facility looks like a jail. The bathrooms : either a cold shower or a shower heads directed at the wall so you have to stick to the wall to shower. We found glass on the floor. The door is so close to the toilet you cant close it AND sit. Terrible faucets.

The dormitory I stayed in was spacious, with a locker by the bed with electric outlet to charge mobiles. The breakfasts were ample and delicious. Although it is situated a little more than a kilometer from the center on a busy road, the dormitory was not affected by traffic noise. The owners are super nice and try to make your stay enjoyable.

Nomada Hostal Oaxaca is the perfect spot to crash if you want a budget-friendly and comfy place to stay in Oaxaca. The rooms are tidy and have all the basics covered, like cozy beds and handy closets to stash your stuff.
You can hang out in a common area with a table and chairs, where you can munch on a simple breakfast or whip up some coffee or tea. The staff is friendly and will give you top-notch recommendations for the best places to chow down nearby.
