Shapel Hostel and Cafe

This is no ordinary hostel. The Shapel Boutique Hostel & Cafe offers bespoke, modern accommodation unique to northern Thailand.

Our vision is to provide visitors a unique experience of Chiang Mai with insights into the local scene. The places to eat and drink that are off the tourist trail, and the sights and sounds of the real Rose of the North. Where the city’s locals go!

The accommodation is exceptional, offering a range of high quality comfortable rooms and beds, and a world class cafe promising great coffee and specialities within a modern contemporary space.

There’s a common room for relaxation and to meet fellow travellers. A modern fully equipped kitchen and of course air-conditioning and free fast-speed WIFI throughout the hostel and cafe.

Of course, situated in the centre of Chiang Mai within the ancient walls, you are within walking distance of many of the city’s famous sites such as the Chang Phueak and Tha Phae gates. You can take a short Tuk-Tuk ride to the temple Wat Phra Singh and the famous Night Market. While literally on your doorstep enjoy delicious street food as you soak up the atmosphere.

2) Check out Before 11:00
3) Reception working hours: 09:00 – 18:00
4) Payment on Arrival: Cash only.
5) Cancellation or amendment must be made 3 days in advance prior to arrival.
6) Breakfast is not included.
7) NO smoking in Room, but have a smoking area.
8) NO children are allowed.
9) NO pets are allowed.

Please follow the instructions for late checking in after 6.00 pm as below:

1. Please call us by phone.
2. While on the call, the person will ask you to press the bell.
3. The person on the call will open the automated door thru the app.
4. You can pick up the key at the counter and go straight to the room.

The same instruction is also available for you at the hostel entrance. You have nothing to worry about as everything will be arranged and ready for your stay upon arrival.
