Esperanza Hostel

The Esperanza hostels (sister property Meson La Esperanza) are the only hostels in Guatemala created to fully support a local NGO, which aims to restore and empower single teenage mothers and their children in Antigua Guatemala. By providing psychological, academic, and emotional support.

Esperanza hostel is the ultimate experience in budget backpacker accommodation with a low cost nightly rate, as well as free coffee, filtered water and a full kitchen available for use to save your money for the important offerings of Antigua, such as Acatenango Volcano! (Tours available from the hostel). We are only four blocks from the heart of Antigua with the markets, street food, large supermarket, dominoes and small convenience store all reachable within 10 minutes. Esperanza Hostel has a unique offering that from our rooftop terrace you can enjoy views of Fuego Volcano erupting, morning or evening!. We offer shared dormitory rooms, male and female assigned, a dining common area where you can dine with other travelers or play a game of cards and a small garden area to enjoy a book.

Esperanza hostel offers great facilities for everyone to enjoy. Esperanza Hostel Terms & Conditions:

Cancellation policy: 3 days before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.

Check in from 15:00 to 24:00 .
Check out before 10:00 .

Payment upon arrival by cash, credit & debit cards.
This property may pre-authorize your card before arrival.

Taxes not included 22% per person per night.

Reception hours 09:00 to 17:00.

We are not a party hostel. We have neighbours, lets stay respectful.
You can come and go from the hostel as you please, but as long as noise is kept down after midnight. Excessive alcohol consumption will not be tolerated.

We have same same sex dorm rooms, if you are travelling as a male and a female please book in the correct rooms and understand you won't be in the same room. But dont worry, the hostel is small so you wont be very far from your travel companion! In fact only 2 or 3 doors down!
