The hostel is not open in the winter, no adequate heating I was told. When I got there I had no choice but to pay for a room for $75 a night. Not what I was expecting. All other places were booked up. Should not be able to book this hostel if it's not actually available as a hostel

'cheap and cheerful' hostel. Close to the airport. Typical bunkhouses are complimented by eclectic overflow accommodation options, including an old caravan and a treehouse. I had booked a bunk room but was given the treehouse. The pros: I had it to myself, decent wifi, water, a heater, comfortable bed, sort of fun. The cons: drafty, the heater was inadequate for the time of year (late Sep), bathroom facilities were in the main building only. Phone ahead if you want avoid the treehouse or caravn

Was definitely not what I was expecting, but wasn't bad for sure. They have a bunch of different properties, so I ended up staying in a studio apartment for the duration. It was nice to get some privacy, though it took some time to get used to the sulfur smell of the bath water.
