Moicca Hostel is a place of love and respect. Run by a charming local lady, our goal is to take care of every traveler that comes to Iquitos, trying our best to make them feel comfortable and pleased. We provide all the basic facilities that every hostel should have, such as a shared kitchen, breakfast, and several common areas (such as a rooftop and chill out room)

All dorms and private rooms have en-suite facilities, and the guests can also use other 3 public bathrooms. There is hot shower, but is limited. Since we use a solar panel shower, there is a separated water container that gets hot and it remains like that until people use it all.

Currently we provide 6 fans in all dorms. One fan for each person. We are slowly increasing the price to see if installing aircon would be viable and profitable, since at the moment it's too expensive to buy and the power consumption bills are very high in the city.

The wi-fi connection is bad in all Iquitos. As a traveler, we recommend you to buy a sim card as soon as you arrive to Peru. 4G normally works in all Peru in a pretty decent way and for only 60 soles a month you can have unlimited internet. You can't rely in a hostel's wifi to do your job or watch netflix, since most of the time a poor wifi connection it's not the hostel's fault at all.

We are not located at the center of Iquitos, but we are at just 4 soles tuk tuk ride from the main plaza and touristic area (6-7 minutes ride). The hostel, though, is close to all main ports or harbors from where the real adventure starts, and we have a supermarket, a local market, a pharmacy and a local kiosko all in a 200 meters radio.

We do our best to keep the atmosphere nice and chill for every guest, but that's only 50% of the job. The other 50% is left to the guests that make this hostel a good place to stay.
