Welcome to the Hostal El Punto – the most colourful and service-oriented Hostel in La Serena!
Discover our colonial house which offers you cozy and sunny courtyards to relax and enjoy your stay. The hostel staff is always concerned about your wellbeing.
Due to the central location of the Hostel, the “plaza de armas”, the bus terminal and many sightseeing-attractions are within walking distance.
The rooms are all decorated with a lot of love and handmade wooden furniture. Each room has its own style with specially chosen pictures and typical handcrafted decorations.
Our guests can relax in our sunny patios, discover the city, join a tour to surrounding attractions or simply enjoy the endless beach promenade

Check out before 11:00 .
Payment upon arrival by cash, credit cards, debit cards.

No curfew.
We do not accept customers younger than 18 years of age.

Highly recommend this hostel. The staff are very friendly & helpful, the accommodation is spacious and bright. The information sheet when you arrive has everything you need from check out times, breakfast times, WiFi password and a map.
The breakfast for a hostel standard is very good. There is also an option to order other things if you wish at an additional cost.
The only slightly negative thing I would say is that the breakfast is served very late, starting at 8:30am.

We really like this hostile the staff were super helpful and friendly, and the place was beautiful and quite clean. The location was also great. The only drawback was there really wasn’t a kitchen to prep food or even wash dishes. But they did have a place to order food, which was pretty good and well priced.

A great hostel to come to relax and chill out in. Friendly staff, cheap food and a nice patio with regular hummingbirds. Also 3 dogs.
Close to town centre and shops, plus about 20 min walk to the beach.
There’s wasn’t much of an atmosphere in the evenings, don’t come here for a party, come here to chill!
