They didnt accept the booking made through hostelworld and made me to do seperate booking and charged me more.

Really weird experience overall. Firstly the name of the hostel is different than the name of the resort you’ll end up at. They convinced us to stay in a different room for more money even though we booked a dormitory. The place was run by 3 younger boys who don’t really know much about hospitality. We had no power all day and there was zero people st reception until after it got dark. Finally the power came on and they reluctantly made us dinner out of their absolute mess of a kitchen....

Wonderful place and even more lovely hosts - they ensured that we were comfortable in every possible manner. We were two female travellers and this place felt perfectly safe. Do carry a pair of shoes so that you can visit the stream on the property - the path is infested with leeches. The hosts will even help you book a bike/scooty from Munnar to the hostel. The surroundings are best explored on a bike rather than the jeep. Do not miss the Chicken Barbeque!!
