Welcome to Yellow Sun Hostel and Bar ! Situated just a short ride from town. Situated right on the Kampot river where the surrounding mountains provide an excellent backdrop for guests to see the real beauty that Kampot has to offer.
You can spend the day relaxing on our sun loungers swim or water slid by the river (free tube) or for those a little bit more adventurous we also have kayaks (2h $3.00) and Scooters available for rent. All of our staff are knowledgeable on the local area and can advise you on all the best sports to visit. At the hostel we also have tuk tuk drivers readily available for those of you who wish to see the sights whilst sitting back and relaxing. They can also take you too and from town, this is a short trip and takes around ten minutes. And we also looking for volunteer to join us (ask at the bar)
At night bit lively some (Saturday Live Music Open Mic Beer Pong) you can come and join our friendly staff at the bar and enjoy drinks with our happy 5pm- 7pm Sunset cocktails 2 For 1. The sunset over the mountains opposite our pontoon area are beautiful. 8pm- 9pm Vodka mix 2 for 1
Yellow Sun provides both private bungalows equipped with balcony's overlooking the river and dorm rooms for whichever is your preference. All of our accommodation has mosquito nets locker and fans to ensure a comfortable stay.

3. Check out before 11:00 AM
4. Payment upon arrival by cash only.
5. Reception working hours 08:00 AM

Great hostel in Kampot by the riverside. I wanted to stay for 2 nights but ended up staying 4 nights. It’s located a bit out of town so you definitely need to rent a scooter or get a Tuktuk. Beautiful Kajak Loop nearby and I met great people there. Also really good chill area outside. You can also volunteer there if you want to.

Overall not a bad stay but as a solo traveller I found it difficult to meet other people and travellers. Could have just been the timing of everything. Food was decent, the common space was nice and cozy.
Booked an 8 bed dorm but ended up being 10 bunks (not a big deal), no curtains but bug nuts did the trick. Lots of lovely dogs around. Just wished the lockers were in the room not outside. Simple and need a bike or transportation to get to and from .
