Welcome to MEININGER Hotel Berlin Tiergarten!
The MEININGER Hotel Berlin Tiergarten used to be a brewery, at the former Schultheiss brewery grounds. The interior design of the MEININGER Hotel Tiergarten is a reminder of this time and builds a bridge to the present. The new building has over 238 rooms with 848 beds. Our young and multilingual team is there for you 24 hours a day with help and advice. Under such circumstances, there is really nothing stopping you from having an unforgettable stay!
The name of the district is called 'Moabit', which developed into one of the scene and trendy districts of Berlin. The convenient location at the metro station 'Turmstraße' means all of the citys sights can easily be reached by U-Bahn. The hotel is literally based on a shopping mall, the guests will have access to a shopping center with more than 100 shops. The State Park is just across the street and a nice walk by foot over the Spree takes less than 15 minutes. Pubs, Cafes and restaurants are spread out around the hotel.
We offer accommodation in single and twin rooms, shared rooms or a dormitory. All rooms have their own bathroom with a shower and toilet and are equipped with a TV set. No need to bring bedding - this is included in the accommodation (only private rooms/ extra cost for dormitories).
The guests can relax in the big lounge, drink a beer, have a snack at the bar 24/7 or get social by playing table football in the game zone. Breakfast is served every day from 6:30 till 10:30 and only costs 9.90 Euro. Alternative is the guest kitchen for everyone who wants to cook. There also is a washing machine and dryer to use.

We were able to check in early which was great. Hotel is close to a tram station and is close to a lot of shops. Friendly enough staff. Room was clean and tidy.
However, the kitchen is very basic. Not even a sharp knife to cut bread and no dishwasher. Very tiny for such a big hotel. Also, there were a ton of teenagers staying that were continuously running up and down the corridors all day and night. Knocking on people’s doors, being loud and disrespectful. Lifts are extremely slow.

Great hostel, bit overpriced for a private room however very clean and well kept like all Meininger hostels. Decent location with good transport, staff were very friendly and helpful. Would probably find somewhere closer to the centre next time.

Overall fine hostel but would not recommend for younger backpackers looking to meet people. There were lots of families and older men. No real social atmosphere. Good amenities and nice staff.
