I have no idea why this place is so highly rated, we’ve been travelling for 3 months and this was.. let’s just say down there in the bottom few places we’ve stayed (in a similar price range I may add). Booked for 3 nights, left after 1. Positives: comfy bed, good location. Negatives: ants everywhere! (read previous google reviews), an active birds nest in the kitchen complete with poo down wall beneath, small flies around surfaces in the kitchen, full bin bags left out, bathroom dirty etc!

Lovely clean Homestay with a small deep pool. WiFi only from outside pool area. Handy outdoor kitchen area and fridge with a filtered water dispenser to refill your water bottle. Super friendly staff and 30 seconds from a few stylish cafes. A 10ish minute walk to the beach on a busy road. I rented a bicycle online which made the neighbourhood much more accessible. Would stay again.
