The policy on check in/out hours is super inconvenient, and not well communicated. Locked out on the street when I arrived. You need to check your bags at a 3rd party business, but the staff didn’t know where it was. I felt unsafe as an obvious tourist meandering with my phone out and carrying my bags trying to find the storage. Make sure you have roaming on your phone! Off-season so it was quiet, no atmosphere. Private room & bathrooms were clean. Staff member Max was good, gave a great tour!

The breakfast seems like they clean out the fridge and whatever is left over that’s what breakfast is

Dear City House Hostel New Orleans,
I'd rate my stay 8.3/10. Stayed in the 10-bunk suite, minus a minor issue with an odor. Remember to be discreet with keypad entry. Great location near Canal and the business district, and convenient for public transit.
