Coming to Moalboal? Come to Chief Mau! The leading social hostel and chillest place in town! We're conveniently located just a minute walking distance to the beach where you can find the famous Sardine Run. With a bar, restaurant and reception we're ready to serve your every need. We also have a dedicated social area where friendships become easily established! Our place has a terrace, garden area and hammocks too for that ultimate chill experience.
You may choose to stay in the Backpackers Dormitory, Private Fan Room with shared bathroom or a Private Aircon Room with your own toilet and shower.
We also organize the ultimate Canyoneering trip with our crazy fun professional guides. Island Hopping and Oslob Whale Shark trips are organized here as well. Come stay with us for a fun and memorable stay!

POST TYPHOON RAI UPDATE
The aftermath of Typhoon Rai when it hit us last December 16,2021 was devastating. To this day we are still slowly recovering. Our outdoor chill area's roof is still undergoing reconstruction and so is our kitchen. But our rooms are top despite everything and have been retouched to accommodate you well!
You may choose to stay in the Backpackers Dormitory, Private Fan Room with shared bathroom or a Private Aircon Room with your own toilet and shower.

Wonderful hostel, great location to the sardine run. staff are super helpful! The rooms are also really clean and brand new. Only downside is the shower pressure was weak and the showers/toilets smelt like stale wee. Hopefully that disappears

I had a great time at the hostel - it was clean, spacious and the location is perfect. The staff is amazing and so accommodating. They also offer all the tours you might want, from Canyoneering to Whale Shark watching and seeing Osmena Peak. Only downside was that the showers smelled like p**s and the water pressure was whack. Not sure why, because the hostel felt clean overall.
Great common area and super chill vibe (and good music!). Definitely recommend

super close to the beach and all the good places in Moalboal. Super pretty hostel with amazing dorms, beautiful bathrooms and nice chill area.
