Outrageous! BE CAREFUL, there are BED BUGS, which apparently has been a thing for a while there and I wish I knew that beforehand. My room was smelling awful and the toilets were absolutely disgusting as well.
The rest was fine honestly, but there is just no point in giving them stars for security or location if there is a risk of bringing BED BUGS back home!!!

Room was clean and I had an adequate amount of space for my needs. Staff was great, especially the security (if you come across an unsafe situation, they are really cooperative with helping however they can). Bathrooms were clean, if not a bit stuffy. Overall, I felt really safe in this hostel which is my main priority. Definitely recommend as a place to stay for a short trip in Copenhagen!

I would book somewhere else and go to the hostel just for the bar and social aspect. The capsules we booked for two were super hot, with no air con/fan in the room we slept with the bed door open. The bathrooms and showers were not clean and smelt SO BAD everyday. Our capsule had NO STORAGE and had milk cartoons to climb into the top bed. We slept with our bags under our feet. Location is good and the bar area was good on the weekend. There is no other social area apart from the bar.

Copenhagen Downtown Hostel says
I think what puts us ahead of the rest is that we're the real backpackers' in town, made by travellers for travellers. We want you to experience the real Denmark, its people, its humor and its personality. I believe that this place is the expression of a hostel how should be all around the world - full of magic, activities, livable common areas and crazy people that give this place an enjoyable and fun atmosphere.
The common area features a Scandinavian retro design with recycled wooden floors from old Copenhagen apartments used for the tables and benches, plus a lot of bright colors, wall maps, and other design features to make the area warm and welcoming.
There's lots to do in this area but I definitely recommend visitng Christiania - the Freetown - a unique place occupied/squatted in 1971 and now a community, where people live and chill out. Furthermore, the place has grown with bars, cafés, restaurants, concert places, art and has its own very peculiar atmosphere.
If noticed in advance, we can provide all kinds of food/drinks for special needs, such as gluten-free bread. Lactose free milk (soya drink) is always in stock.
