At the point where the River Reuss flows out of Lake Lucerne and past the world-famous Chapel Bridge, you can make yourself comfortable on the shore or feel a sense of history in front of frescoed houses. Highlights include the Musegg Wall, the Lion Monument, the Swiss Museum of Transport and a visit to the KKL Culture and Convention Centre. Or why not take a Pilatus round trip? Our youth hostel has an international atmosphere and is open all year round so you can sample all of the aspects of this festival and carnival city.

All ok. They have a restaurant with free breakfast. My only suggestion is that they could have a small kitchen with basic utensils. Now there’s only a microwave and you can only heat microwave food.

The breakfast is excellent! Location is not great, 30min walk from the center. You only get a card to use public transport after your checkin (if you arrive before 4pm - which is later than usual for hostels checkins - to leave your bag and enjoy the city, you'll have to walk or pay for the transport). All the lockers (luggage room but also at the dorm) require a 2 CHF coin to lock it, which is extremely inconvenient specially in 2023 when most people can travel just with credit/debit cards.

My stay here was great! The bathrooms/showers are very nice and clean. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. I definitely recommend this place!
